lost and found...
it's been an interesting week. the after effects of the supposed food poisoning kept me in bed till Sunday. a depression has kicked in as a result and i've worked myself into a pretty good, isolation mood. tried to organize a photo stroll that was to take place this afterenoon but there were no takers. also, tonight and tomorrow night are the Dirk Dirksen Festivals in San Francisco. i had serious desire to attend this time last week. tonight, i could care less.
i was going to tirade a bit about what a drag it is to try to organize, interest, and excite people to do something with you, and then i was going wonder out loud about what makes people then go silent in communications. i mean, you are talking about a plan on the phone and via emails, then silence. to say you are not interested in doing something by abstention of any sort of reply is rude. oh, i can't write this because by being vague in this manner i only lend more strength to confusion. tirade-ing anyway, aren't i. i do respect those who were clearly vocal in planning negotiations this week. thank you.
well, i found two good things on the internet this week. one is a blogger that writes extensively about her bipolar condition and is a powerful advocate of life without meds. the other find is an incredible, local photographer who i at least hope to learn from the example of his mission statement.
a big part of the excitement of attending Dirk Fest was going with someone that i used to hang out at Mabuhay Gardens with back in the late 70's. going alone to this event will probably be a much better experience anyway as this person is a dangerous person from my past to tangle with. i should be glad for this outcome, but if you don't want to do something, say so. don't just go silent. oh, and top of that? please don't come back later and lie about not knowing a phone number or that your internet was broken.
i will probably go tomorrow night just out of spite. hahaha!
