lighting the creative fires, NOW

Okay so it's Scorpio Season again, which should really be the most potent period of the year for my own creative endeavors. Since I also have Scorpio as my rising sign, it's a time when I should be flooded with creative ideas and energy... Last year at this time this energy kicked in quite easily and naturally for me, but this year I've been missing the calling just a litle bit. So this is an effort to kick it up, ignite the fire, and talk out loud about some ideas I have... I know I was talking about doing Nanowrimo in some recent posts. That project begins on this upcoming Monday! Just 3 days away. I've had experiences in the past where I would begin writing at the turn of midnight... after being up all night for Halloween enticements, I'd go to my local cemetery with my laptop, sit at the top of the hill and write my first 1660 words. I'm not that spiritually excited this year to do that... not yeat at least. There have been years where I have spent the enti...

accidental(?) discovery of a healing method I've never tried b4

So I was having a discussion with my best friend tonight about the difficulties in learning how to use a pendulum as part of performing psychic readings, technically called "scrying". Scrying is loosely described as looking into "the void" for answers to questions we would not ordinarily have reason for knowing. This is most popularly associated with "gazing into a crystal ball", but one can also gaze onto a body of water, or gaze at passing clouds... it's not so much to "see things", such as shapes or designs that associate with recognizable answers to the questions the psychic is pondering, but rather to elevate or catapult the psychic into an open mode of receeptivity where one can receive answers from the "place of greater wisdom". Gazing into a crystal ball, you can suddenly click into a quasi trance state where information can begin to float into and thru your mind. Attempting to do this with a pendulum, where the psycic uses...

new season of the Dead Files begins tonight...

Over the past few years I have become a very strong fan of the work that both Amy Allen and Steve Dischavi do on this paranormal ghost hunting show that airs on the Travel Channel. At the height of my enthusiasm, I tried to attend a weekend clinic that Amy gave in Auburn, California - a 4 hour drive from my home, so all I had to come up with was about $1300 to participate. I did not have enough money, and was very disenheartened not to have a chance to speak with Amy in person to discuss what I felt were my own developing skills as a psychic healer. Amy recommends that many of her clients that live in haunted homes obtain the services of Reiki Masters, a title which I have acquired and wanted to learn from her whether my abilities were advanced enough to be able to work with haunted peoples/families, or if there were more specific training that she thought I needed, or if I was completely just someone who had no business trying to work with the dead at all. For how busy Amy is, I ...

day 4!

Just a quick entry for right now, maybe I'll have more to say later tonight... Some inspiring reads I picked up at the library this afternoon!

day three, just for the record, but on into infinity hurrah

Ok, so this is starting to feel good and regular and natural... the floodgates are opening and my oomph for writing is gaining momentum... Had a little bit of an idea for a new novel in Nanowrimo, a story of a contemporary soul on the path towards enlightenment in this modern-day and age. It will allow me to dive into my love of both spirituality and the supernatural... I will jump completely into a work of fiction and leave as few traces back to my own real-life as possible. I was afraid of writing something based in the horror genre because that is not something the world needs more of now. But I can have elements of supernatural horror that will show how this person has gotten from where they were to where they are going. And of course, it will involve the healing of relationships with both the living and the dead. Holy cow I had no idea that this fleeting idea that entered my head at a traffic light would have made it to this page, and begin to become real! See? There is, for ...

day two of the new restart of this blog....

I had a flash of inspiration to record myself speaking the thoughts on my mind for this entry today, but I put that idea away pretty quickly because when I do speak aloud, I take a lot of time to say something that many other people could say very succinctly... I love to elaborate in excessive detail when I tell a story... and that's what one would find reading my "novel". that I will take an entire chapter of 10+ pages to describe a dream that I had while sleeping... so I thought, we'll I'll limit myself to 10 minutes on video to talk about the incident in 2007, and then I realized that it just wouldn't work... with the way my mind meanders recalling a tale, I'd probably never get to the finale of the story... maybe I will do this anyway, just to illustrate my point...  and then I thought more about what to write today and debated going on with the story of yesterday's post, which I think is a little bit important, or of just letting new thoughts com...

to converse, or not to converse...

I had a lengthy conversation the other day with my best friend about "talking"/"communicating" and looked under the covers/lifted the hood as to what could illuminate why I am such a quiet guy. Well, the one thing that showed up was that I have Leo in Mercury, which states that I should be one who boldly declares my most outlandish ideas... and well, I do feel like I have moments where I do this, but for the most part, as people see me on the surface, I do not say very much at all about what I really think about what's going on. Further exploration under the hood showed that I also have Chiron in the 3rd house, which points to having experienced some type of psychological damage as a child which sort of gives me a chip on my shoulder about believing in my own powers of intellect... I don't know that I want to expound on either of these two astrological explanations right now... what brought me to the point of even feeling like blogging again, today, was a t...
