out, god how it helps...

i decided this morning to not attend the Polyphonic Spree concert tonight at the Great American Music Hall. just not feeling physically able for the intensity of standing from 6pm till midnight. i have not been eating much lately and my potassium is low again; thus lots of muscle cramping. i feel little regret for not seeing this show despite the fact that i really looked forward to it being a great photo op and also a bit of a rejuvenating and spiritual expereince. the Spree are the most magical band out there right now methinks. i was able to sell the ticket (at a discount to the buyer) via craigslist this morning so i will think magically about this and believe that there is more benefit in him seeing this show and that in my staying home, i will experience some sort of magic. i'm reading this pretty fascinating book right now called " 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl" which is starting to click for me some deeper understanding about things in this world and my own li...

i haven't written for awhile. just posted this at Helium.com

Helium - Sad Songs That Will Make You Cry I am sorry but I have to write about this conceptually, rather than figuratively - like I do with many of my articles here at HELIUM. Two songs have made me cry over the past 6 month period; a song by Neil Young called, CORTEZ THE KILLER, and a song by Bob Dylan called IDIOT WIND. I have heard these songs over and over, many, many times over the years of my life and always felt their groove and energy, thinking "yeah man, dig that guitar..." or, "Wow, Neil (or Bob) really mean something deep here...", but I never took the time to contemplate the meaning of the words, or the real meaning of the emotions being conveyed before. Not until this past summer. You see, I think that a person needs to understand themselves before they can understand others. What do you think it would mean to Bob Dylan if no one ever found deeper meaning in his songs. (Well, if you've read anything about what he really thinks about that subject...

He did it again! {featured HELIUM writer}

Another one of my articles that I wrote for the HELIUM website is featured on their front page today. Please check it out if you get a chance. It will only remain on the front page till midnight tonight. You can always check out the articles I have written there by doing a search on my name. This article they are displaying was a review on the band GREEN DAY . My latest article is a review of TOM WAITS latest album. I find writing for Helium to be a fun and profitable form of exercise for writers where you can not only express an opinion and share your knowledge on a topic but it is just a great way to keep your writing skills in practice. I recommend that any of my writer friends out there reading this sign up and find a topic that they are requesting articles be written about to give it a try. It can be very encouraging to see how your writing stacks up against other writers too.
