 Well, I gave up on doing New Moon intentions about a year ago. My thoughts just aren't organized enough to think about what it is I need (to manifest) in my life, I never write down what my intentions were, so later if anything did happen, or change, I didn't have a record to prove that it worked... and overall, I'm just pretty much okay with things happening the ways that they do. So why am I thinking about trying it again, now, today? Maybe because I've started listening to an astrologer that makes more sense to me, and who moves me more on an intellectual basis... A thinking man's/woman's astrologer... he didn't even suggest the idea of setting intentions with this new moon (that occurred around 3pm yesterday)... but something arose inside me making me feel like it might be worth trying...  I had some quite enlightened thoughts and ideas flowing into my mind after I finished writing what I shared here last night. One theme that came in was the idea of how I can use this form of creative writing as a form of psychic channeling... I believe that I enter into an altered state of consciousness when I write. I begin my writing sessions by making an effort to connect with my very specific writing muses, I ask them to infect me with the energies that affected them when they were able to write their most poignant pieces of literature... but it goes beyond that too, they are not finite beings, they are gateway beings that tap into and channel the Greater Muse that inspires all creators. But when the Greater Muse flows into and through my personal muses, the energy of inspiration that reaches me is flavored with the life energies of these few humans that have greatly inspired me with the words they have commited to literature... So the bigger idea I was toying with last night ...

 So I was having a discussion with my best friend tonight about the difficulties in learning how to use a pendulum as part of performing psychic readings, technically called "scrying". Scrying is loosely described as looking into "the void" for answers to questions we would not ordinarily have reason for knowing. This is most popularly associated with "gazing into a crystal ball", but one can also gaze onto a body of water, or gaze at passing clouds... it's not so much to "see things", such as shapes or designs that associate with recognizable answers to the questions the psychic is pondering, but rather to elevate or catapult the psychic into an open mode of receeptivity where one can receive answers from the "place of greater wisdom". Gazing into a crystal ball, you can suddenly click into a quasi trance state where information can begin to float into and thru your mind.
