the end of the best month has come...

with just hours left in it's beating heart, September is coming to a close.  September is the fullest month of the year for me and this year was no exception. It was focused on celebrations of births and deaths in glorious splendor. For some reason right now I don't feel inspired like I usually do when I sit down to blog to go into any details about what events occurred, even though I really should. It was that spectacular of a month. Maybe this quick footnote right now will pull me back to write in fuller detail about the things that occurred before their impact fade from my memory. And maybe I'll even go beyond my normal blogging techniques and include some photos of the people and places that were seen. Why I really opened up this page to scribble thoughts upon tonight was to put some energy into the idea of reopening my "novel" and perhaps going back to work on it. When I tried to work on it last year, even though I made some truly grand progress in consider...

weird worry

Relatively, I am not sad these days. It seems that as I keep up a regular practice of meditation - that is meditating for at least 15 minutes, once a day - I am able to refresh my spirit enough to cast off the creeping shadows of sadness and depression that approach my consciousness every day. i have no place to be today where there is a corner that i can sit in and shut out the ugly american world around me today. it's a holiday so even though most of the working people in my corporate ugly town are not flooding my cafe at this early hour, the flamboyant touristy types are flooding the place, and there is NO corner here that i can sit in with my back to them all. i have TROUT MASK REPLICA playing loudly in my earbuds, so that casts me partly into another realm, but the visuals around me anchor me to the fact that i am NOT in Paris. ahh, Paris... will i ever meet you in person? Craig Ferguson did a wonderful week long visit to Paris with his Late Late Show last month and he took the amazing young actress Kristen Bell with him. God, what an old man's fantasy that is for me... ahem, so I've got a little bit of cash in my pocket right now, enough exactly to buy a passport. i said that already, yes? so this week i'm going to start the application process to na...
