what this new flow of Reiki energy is feeling like to me...

I've had influxes of so many different types of spiritual energies and belief systems infiltrate my mind and body in this lifetime, it sort of surprises me that I found yet another system to tap into. There is a lot of talk and hype going on around the world about the wonders of Reiki, but not so much that on it's own, it would have convinced me to seek out joining it on my own. If it had not been for the enthusiasm of my best friend, and her kindness, I probably would not have jumped into the boat with all the other Reiki-ers right now either. I'm not at a stage in my life where I'm all gung-ho about being a healer or getting healed right now. Not on the surface of my mind at least. Not in any sense of urgency or bubbling excitement like I have been at times in the past. Mind you, I do want to experience more joy in my life, and less pain in my body, and less confusion in my mind... a whole stage of life has passed...

since my last posting! The day after I attended the U2 concert with my son I began a new job! And just 4 days ago, I quit that job. I'll tell you a little bit about the experience. There's a large thrift store in the next town, called SAVERS. It's a chain of thrift stores run like a retail store. Better pay than I made at Peets Coffee! One day I was in there looking for something that my son needed for his baby girl. They didn't have it, and rather than just run out the door, I lingered for a few moments and looked around the place. I paused and wondered, "Could I work here and be happy?" i.e. less stressed and prone to illness than I was at the coffee shop? I looked around at the other employees and saw a couple of people that looked even older than myself, and thought that was a good sign. So I checked in with my intuition and it felt positive, that it wouldn't hurt to talk to someone. The person I spoke to asked what I was interested in. I thought that ...
