just so you know...
i'm better today than i was yesterday. i am sorry for all that vile that poured out of my guts, especially if it spilled on any of your pretty frocks. i picked my mom up from her latest pet sitting job and we went out for lunch at our favorite restaurant (Bombay) in Walnut Creek. I got a perfect parking place in the shade just across the street, and just as i was turning the car off i felt my phone vibrating in my shirt pocket. it was my son Billy phoning from Ireland to wish me a happy father's day. so those two things, hearing from Billy and eating a delicious Indian lunch jacked up my spirit pretty good.
there is more detail i need to explain about what was so debilitating yesterday, and maybe i'll do it here, maybe i won't. another sign that i perked up even more was that i did in fact take my camera out with me today and shot two panographys. one is displayed on my Flickr account. it's really atrocious and it doesn't rank in quality of what i'm capable when i really try, but it felt like a challenge was posed after what i said yesterday.
the highlight of the afternoon though was watching the live feed from Bonnaroo when the White Stripes performed. that was one of the most exciting live performances i've seen in a long time. and the fact that it was televised via the internet and i was here in my room alone gave me some deep thoughts to consider; like - what will concerts be like 10, 20 years from now. will anyone ever need to attend a concert in person anymore?
ok, it's almost 3am and i have got to go to bed. tomorrow i'll tell you all about the books i currently have checked out from the library and i will try to start to build up a plan to write some short stories. i've got an idea for one right now that is burning a hole in my soul and it would be so redemptive to get it out of me... thank you, whoever you are reader for persisting with me and my intolerableness.
