more thoughts about writing biographical stories ...
I've been having conversations with my former wife's younger brother recently, who is probably the most lucid communicator regarding all sorts of things that I'm interested in that I've been able to talk to in ages. Right off the bat, we are discussing film, music, and literature, topics I have NO ONE else in my life that has educated notions about at all to wander into deep thought-journeys with. Blame it on him being born and bred TRULY IRISH, for one thing... but we also have shared world experiences... the impact this woman, Aine, had upon our lives, and shared experiences we ventured into when I in fact lived in Ireland.
Last night we talked about experiencing the deaths of our mothers... no one has ever opened up to discuss such intimacy with me before... (aside from Sir Thomas sharing the story of the recent passing of his beloved wife)... but with this Irish-brother-in-law, we have a foundation for a lot of deep explorative conversations that could turn on all sorts of inspiration for creative endeavors. For instance, like actually sitting down and writing biographical stories... I need to develop an attitude of who it is I am writing for if I were to start doing this type of storytelling.
Do I care about who will ever read these stories? If so, there will automatically be some type of mental editing going on where I will most likely curtail myself from exposing full truths. Part of me wants to do this, for my own protection, haha, sigh. Like I don't know if I'm really ready to even let these full truths appear before my own eyes. There's bravery needed to expose deep, harsh truths. Well, we'll see, I'll keep hacking at my brain and soul to see if I can find a strong enough sense of purpose to stop talking about this and sit down and do it.
Another thought that is floating thru my mind today is despite the amount of meditation and soul growth I've been venturing into, I still feel like I'm not fully awake and engaging in my soul purpose as fully as I could be. There, just tossing that into the mix.
(Ciaran - the Irish bro-in-law and I are getting ready to watch and discuss DAS BOOT, and Man Of La Mancha... which is just so exciting in a so simple way... I've tried to interest so many friends in watching films from my home library with me but people just don't have the time anymore it seems...)

I understand the difficulty of writing deep, personal feelings. Never easy, even in diary form.
Your spiritual journey is just that: to travel a path on your way to a destination that is always ahead of you.
DAS BOOT and Man of La Mancha! What a double feature!
