nothing to say... really,
but i just need to say something so here goes nothing... i have a new friend that i've been opening up to this week, which has been nice. she is someone that has modeled for me. one of my most recent models. someone that i was taken with on several levels right from the start... for one thing, she is captivatingly beautiful. i've never seen an unflattering photograph of her yet. none from other photographers and none that i have taken of her. she exudes a confidence unbecoming for someone so new and fresh on the scene. when i photographed her, it was during a shoot where she was accompanied by 2 other models and there was a vying for time thing going on. i wanted to photograph the three models together, but i also wanted to give each individual model private time. the private time i gave this particular model slipped by so quickly though, elusively and somehow before i knew it she had flitted out of my view. i don't think i fully recognized the power of her presence when i was with her, but afterwards, when i reviewed her proofs i saw the incredible presence she exuded... something i have not seen in someone so meek and unassuming in quite some time. when i pored over her proofs i felt her magnetism and ached for more time with her, and wished that i had known during the shoot how powerful she was. i can only hope that i'll be blessed with more camera time with her again.
BUT, somehow, in this past week she and i have struck up an online conversation together and we are talking about our lives with each other. it's a quite personal and relaxed conversation too, which is surprising and adds extra delight for me. i don't have anyone else that i'm talking to these days so i really treasure this connection with her. she is a gifted writer and i'm learning a lot from her already. i hope i don't do anything to damage her trust in me and that we can develop a long term friendship. i've made other long term friends with young women before. with V, we have a lot in common. our love of photography, writing, and that we are both managing our lives with bipolar disorder. tread delicately, darko. she's a very special person and you need someone like her to be around for awhile.
