New State of Affairs... continued

When I had my palms read, the main thing that was revealed to me was hope to believe that if I follow the path of my heart and do the things that I love doing, and pursue them with full abandon, everything I need to survive will come to me. I've been aware of this rather new-age sounding philosophy since the time I quit my computer analyst job with Chevron to become a massage therapist; that if you follow your bliss, the Universe will provide and support you. And quite literally, I have survived all these many years since I left that suffocating career field over 30 years ago. Maybe not as abundantly as possible, but I would blame that on my own lack of fully committing to any of the heart-led tasks that I have chosen to pursue. I have had personal doubts and fears, as well as doubters around me that have detracted from my ability to fully engage in the visions I have of what "work" really should be for myself. But now, that I'm at this especially late stage of my life I feel like time is running out for me to beat around the bush anymore.

So really, it's back to my writing projects. At this point, I don't feel like it's worth it to go back to try to fix my novel. I've spent way too much time trying to do that already. During the palm reading, I got new ideas about how everything I learned while researching the novel, and while writing the novel prepared a higher "ability" inside my mind and spirit.  I feel like perhaps I have developed a new technique for communicating with the dead, and that this is what I should begin to write a new book about. I also felt inspired during the palm reading to "create a movement" through which I could inspire people to learn these skills and practice them on their own, as both a method for healing themselves and their own ancestors that have passed away. I'm telling you more than will make sense to you right now, so I'm just thinking out loud a bit...

Not sure if I'll post this on FB so if you get to read this, thanks for thinking to come back to the blog to see if I wrote more. I do believe I'm going to be ok. I just got to get serious about doing the "real work" now. Memento mori. Time is short.
