on hold for test results…

although the results from the potassium portion of the test were bleak. doc said that i was at such a low level that i needed to get an uptake of potassium into my system so quickly that if i did not go to the pharmacy next door immediately to get his urgent prescription filled he was going to send me to the e.r. to get it put into my body intravenously. i told him, “Of course I’ll go to the pharmacy and get the pills.” He then said, “Not to scare you, but with your potassium as low as it is right now, YOUR HEART COULD STOP.” I’m not shocked by anything he tells me anymore.

He also ran tests to determine if I am diabetic or not. One of those results you’d almost like to turn out positive because then I would at least have some answers to what is going on right now and it would give me some vision to start working with to make some changes. I will call him later this morning to find out the results.

FAV VIDEO discovery of the day today. A band I do actually enjoy listening to very much but I have never seen this video before. Takes them over the top, to a whole new level for me.  COCOROSIE…

Then I remembered hearing another interesting singers voice a while ago and decided to look them up on YouTube. This is what I found…

They are from Espana. Much lighter audio style than I typically care to listen to but hey, I’m not a typical guy.

oh, and this is moi at the blood lab AT 7AM. i commented to the phlebotomist that it suddenly struck me curious that so many people say that they have a fear of needles. and that i didn’t think i had one, even though i always look away when they draw blood from me. decided to put myself to the test yesterday and see what it actually looks like when they “do it”.

O.M.G. it IS a pretty freaky site to see! you normally only see those small specimen tubes and figure they are putting a small, pinprick needle onto it. SHE USED THIS MASSIVE NEEDLE ON A BIG ATTACHMENT THAT SORT OF LOOKED LIKE A WEAPON OF WAR. AND THEN SHE JAMMED THE NEEDLE INTO MY POOR LITTLE VEIN WITH GREAT DETERMINATION AND FORCE. i told her that it didn’t scare me watching it, but it did kinda freak me out!

i succumbed to accept that maybe after seeing that happen to themselves, people were justified to have a fear of needles. me though, i will have to watch the process a few more times to determine if it genuinely “scares me” or not.  ok yeah, i’ll try to get a photo of it next time!
