Will I be moved to take vengeance for this young girl who has become so precious to me, who has become so much a part of my heart that I can’t take a breath without thinking of and feeling what she is thinking and feeling right where she is in time and place each moment of my worthless and painful existence? Will I become inspired to follow in the footsteps of the psychotically inspired Travis Bickle who rescued and avenged a guileless teen girl from the scum that prostituted her upon the streets of NYC in 1976? No. Will I become inspired to derive a blood recompense from the sadistic, senseless, stupefying and idiotic murderers that slaughtered the wife and children of Josey Wales? No. Or will I seek out and destroy every thug-spirited, insane-punisher and childhood-destroying drug-dealing ghoul that raped and murdered the greatest two loves that Paul Kersey had in all eternity, also on the streets of NYC in 1974? No. But do I feel like these men felt? Not exactly, but I feel more like what they must have felt like than I could ever imagine I’d be possible of feeling in this lonely and loveless life that I’ve been forced to live, since I’ve learned of this young girl’s undeserved punishment and suffering. This one who has touched my heart and moved my spirit more deeply than any other mortal being on this planet ever has, I want so much to balance the scales of justice and karma for her. I pray to holy God for wisdom and strength to suppress this rage in my chest tonight. For these people, these despicable criminals of moral depravity that have victimized this precious one, tonight fate is smiling upon them. They are so lucky that over two thousand miles of physical reality (and for my inability to traverse it) separate them from me. Moran, I love you so very much. I will protect you from any more harm to your being with a barrier of love emanating from my heart. …darragh…
