if you listened to the whole thing, thank you. if you listened and can encourage me, thank you even more.

I just say, ok and then take the meds that work for me -- seldom ever take the new meds or increrase/decrease dosage as they want me to... As for me, I figure that I will be on anti-depressants forever and I'm ok with that but I know it's not the same.
As for the 'girl'-- just take things slow, there's no hurry -- I think that's the best way...get to know each other and just see what transpires...

Hi sweetie,

What happens if you stop taking your medication? If whatever happens then is manageable & acceptable to you, why do you think your therapist is so keen that you stay on it?

If you do need the medication, is it that you've been prescribed with too strong a dose? What's your problem with it?

What does your therapist say when you tell her you don't want to be on the medication?

Since it appears you were having similar issues with your last therapist, it seems clear that it isn't a matter of changing therapists but of either coming to terms with the medication, or making an adjustment in the way you're describing your problems with it.

Just wanting your happiness because you are such a great guy,

Amy
