Morning Page...

So I was Googling "how to become your own muse" and came across an interesting blog. The writer had a very interesting entry about this actual matter. How to become the source of one's own inspiration for whatever creative processes they partake in. I don't feel like linking it here, but I want to mention one thing he said was good to do, and that is to take time to write something when you first wake up in the morning. To write about anything and everything that is on your mind. He got the idea from writer, Julia Cameon, who wrote the book "The Artists Way"...

So I think that this is basically what I do in ths blog, write about whatever is on my mind. But it's so undisciplined and irregular. Maybe if I were to start making myself write a "Morning Page" here everyday, and not restrict myself to niceties - I used to write a lot more freely about my thoughts and ideas in this blog, but I know as of late I've been much more restrained from talking extremely freely. And maybe what I could do is what I used to do when I had something extremely personal to talk about, but didn't want just anyone to read about it - I used to Google Translate my entry into a random foreign language and post it here. Thus getting my words out, but basically being able to keep them private.

So what is on my mind today? One thing is that I'm going to try out going on the Keto Diet. My son has been doing it for a couple of weeks and has already lost 10 pounds. I need to lose at least 30 pounds, but 40 would be even better. I've never been successful at dieting before, so don't know how well I'll do at this one. But perhaps with having my son as a partner to work with, maybe I'll stick to it. I'm going to see my doctor on Monday to see what his opinion is of someone my age doing this, and if he thinks there is any jeopardy to my existing health conditions. As things go now, I basically eat one meal a day. It's usually dinner, so the idea of eating less food is not to frightening for me, it's just going to be a matter of eating the right kinds of foods.

Other things on my mind, I decided to go ahead and do the pet sitting job that had been scheduled for November. It starts on Wednesday and runs thru the following Monday. I decided to not do any more assignments for Rover. This client is a personal friend and she's paying me more than Rover assignments pay, plus the dogs are very cute and lovable. It's a nice house too. Still, I'd rather be independently wealthy and not have to go away to take care of someone's animals. I am happiest sleeping in my own bed, going to sleep and waking when I darn well feel like it. So I'm basically doing this job because I need the money.  There will be one more assignment with this person in January.

Talking about money, the sound of things online is that Door Dashing is no longer as lucrative as it was earlier this year, and I don't know if it's going to be worth the effort to keep working for them. This is bad news. Although, if I can keep humble and offer gratitude for being able to make any money at all this way, I could keep doing the work and just not complain about it. If I for whatever reason were forced to stop working for DD, I don't know what I'd go on to do next. And that is not a good spot tobe in.

I don't know if I've ever spoken about it here before, perhaps I did, because this "thing" I'm doing on the side, I started to do it about a year ago. I've been working on developing my psychic abilities to do this thing called "dowsing the lotto". I don't want to spend time fully explaining it right now, but it's kind of a hairbrained, and inspired idea I have for winning lottery money. It's not an original idea, I read about other people that have had (limited) success doing it. Yeah, I don't want to elaborate on this right now.

Another thing on my mind lately was that on November 1st, and for about 4 or 5 days after that I was working on writing some new material for this years Nanowrimo. It was not a genius idea for a story, so it did not come from a place of deep inspirattion... but I've already fallen into a state of having missed several days writing, and the steam has pretty much fallen out of the project. There is something about the pressure of having to write a certain amount of words every day that excites and inspires me, but the discipline of enduring for 30 straight days is stressful and fatiguing. I just don't find the drive, and joy from doing this that I used to. I think the failure of my past novels (in not being able to rewrite and edit them for publication) has put a dark cloud around all my hopes of becoming a successful writer, ever.

Okay, that's saying more than I've said in the blog since this recent new beginning of wanting to write everyday. Let's see if I can come back tomorrow and dump out my hopes and worries again.
