my very first Model Mayhem model shoot; Niki Morte...

My photo shoot with Niki was much earlier this year, in March. She was the first model that I had found and made contact with at Model Mayhem. She lives in Stockton and at the time we first started talking about doing a shoot together, Stockton didn't seem that far away. I think it was actually February when we first made contact. She had made a comment on one of my photos. We had planned on doing a shoot on pretty short notice, like in March... but as some of you loyal readers will remember I fell into a pretty black depression during March and April.

I contacted her again in early May and we had our shoot scheduled by the end of the month. It was a sunny day, temp in the low 80's and I was doing a dog walking job at the time. I remember that the timing was a bit critical in that I could only leave the dog alone in its house in San Ramon for 4-5 hours. I had to jet out to Stockton, do the shoot and then be back in San Ramon in time to take the dog for another walk.

ANYWAY... We agreed to meet at Stockton County Cemetery at 12:30. I phoned her when I left SR and told her I'd probably be there early. And I was, I got there at around 11:45, which was a good thing. It gave me time to take a drive through the cemetery and visually scope out the grounds. I was delighted by what I found.

The cemetery had a lot of photographic potential. In fact, I was so excited by what I found that I called Niki (and left a message) telling her that I thought the place was great. I was soo excited that I phoned her 3 times total blabbering about how beautiful the light was and that I was ready to go... but being the professional she is, she did not arrive until our scheduled time; 12:30.

I knew she was going to be coming with an escort but she never told me anything about him. I don't have a problem working with models that bring escorts because I become so focused on my models that I usually don't even notice the escorts presence.

Niki was very quiet during our shoot. We didn't talk much, other than me giving her directions. Her modeling/posing style came out slowly while we worked and it wasn't until the last third of our time together that I started to feel like she was really relaxing. But you know what? That is how it seems to go with about half of the models I work with.

Niki brought a lot of outfits to change into although I was happy with her just wearing three different changes. She was my first very tall model to work with and she was one of the overtly sexy models I've worked with.
