long forgotten bygone, hello again...

I got a phone call this afternoon from one of my oldest friends, a man that I've known since I was a sophomore in high school... there are 7 other fellas like this, still trodding this earth, still smiling when they wake up in the morning wondering what will happen this new day... I haven't spoken to this one of them in at close to 5 years. He lives in Australia, and the only way I had for contacting him was via Facebook, an app I refuse to use anymore. So I blame myself for letting a means of contact and communication dissolve... but for the same way I won't use Facebook, he refuses to use Whatsapp or Telegram... old men are weirdos. So it turns out that this friend has been on a bicycling road trip for the past month riding from Seattle to San Francisco. I don't know if anyone else knew he was doing this or not. No one told me, and he failed to give me any advance notice that he was going to be "in town" for a day. He just cold called me and thought I'd...

Donald Roy Pollock -- Ohioan author

I was watching a youtube channel of a man that does book reviews of "dark literature", primarily what's called "crime story-telling"... not a genre I'm naturally drawn to but I've seen a variety of subgenres this guy blends into with his interests, some of his likes drift closer to tales of haunting, though not entirely or specifically supernatural. Anyway, one day I just slipped into his latest video and he was talking about a book that he described with genuinely uncomfortable vibes. He talked about feeling the need to "take a shower" after reading some of the avenues this guys story telling wandered into. More specifically the part that gave him the greatest discomfort was the part of the story that dealt with a man and woman/couple who were serial killers. Not a truth based story at all, this was completely this guys imagination that created these characters and the deeds they did. That was not something that particularly scared me away, n...

nothing entirely new or special to talk about today...

but I don't want to drop the ball and lose steam with this trend of beginning to write daily again. (Hello to my recent muses! The Artist once known as Prince! Anthony Stuart Head!) Ok, rigamarole, here's just an opening statement of what I'm doing today. I am on day one of a new pet sitting assignment, with a brand new pet in a neighborhood I am not familiar with. So I'm feeling a little wavery and ungrounded. I mean, I know where I am, and I know how to get myself home directly if I needed to do that. But I am not familiar with this city (not very familiar, I've been visiting this city since the 70s, and it's expanded and grown so much since those early days ... this neighborhood I'm in now was probably just walnut groves way back then...). I do know that there is a beautiful public library about 2 miles away, and I've visited all of the cemeteries in this town, but they are not of epic grandeur like the cemeteries in Colma are. This are small pioneer...

decisive inroads and crossroads...

and meeting places, when they are destined to occur, you cannot derail them unless you do complete about faces and retreat into denial. Scarlett and I on the spur of the moment tried to come up with a plan to meet today. We get to meet in person on rare occasions, usually about every six weeks. When I asked her last night about meeting today she told me that she was unavailable due to other family members' plans causing interference. So that was that. Then this morning she texted and said that her family members' plans changed, and she suddenly was available to meet this afternoon. Then the debate began about where we would meet. Her favorite cafes are the Sideboard establishment in Danville, or Lafayette, but I told her those places especially on weekends are too crowded with customers and that I didn't want to go there. Then we shifted to the idea of meeting in a cemetery instead. Which would have been fine, except that I just had a huge cemetery day 2 days ago, and have...

day three (skipped yesterday)

Okay this is my third day of effort to keep the flow of inspiration to write daily, happening. I didn't come to the library yesterday (or a cafe either) because I went on an outing for the day. The last time that I had been to Colma for cemetery-photography and communing with the dead was in April of 2024. That almost felt like I had completely forgotten the place even existed. I used to visit there many, many times a year, sometimes even multiple times within a month. Back when my Mom was still alive and we would go there together. We used to go to so many cemeteries together. Since she's been gone, the only fellow cemetery-lovers I have left are Scarlett and Justin. I could go on my own, I suppose but solo visits usually open doors to contemplation that are more intense for me to endure on my own than I am fond of experiencing anymore. Since Mom has gone, there are so many things that I no longer feel inspired, or capable of doing. I think on some days that this is evidence ...

sample of what i experience in my channeling sessions...

This is my vocal-transcript of the channeling session I did last night with Anthony Bourdain. I sit in meditation and use the audio recorder on my phone so that when I speak, the thoughts I receive and visions I see can be documented for further study. This is the first time I've put one of these sessions out for the public to see.  (No one has taught me how to channel like this. Some readers might laugh and say that it's not channeling at all. I don't care what anyone else may think negatively like that unless you can share some tips that might help me do my work better.) ____ It is 11:18 PM on Wednesday, June 10th, 2026. Archangel Michael, thank you for your presence and your protection. I need a heightened connection; empower my connection to Raziel and Metatron, my psychic antenna monitors. Thank you. Sujata, my connection therapist, and Charles Winchester, my activator of awareness for connecting the soul to nature and people—thank you. (Sujata and Charles Winchester ...

matching vision of what i could become...

I watched a movie tonight that gave me an insight of the powerful relationship I have with a young woman, that is my best friend. The movie is called BEST SELLERS, starring Aubrey Plaza and Michael Caine. The story is about the relationship between these two people with a 40 year age gap.  ---- Gosh I started to write those thoughts down a couple of months ago and got lost mid sentence with where I was going with the idea... I wanted to rave a little bit about the movie, and it's stars and the great story line. I had only recently discovered the actress Aubrey Plaza and was doing a deep immersion into several of her films. I like her role playing abilities a lot, and in many ways she matches the personality and energy of my bestie, Scarlett... The overlay of the two characters in the movie to Scarlett and myself is not identical by any means, but there are a lot of synchronicities about our personalities and the movies themes and .... well, whatever. I'm not trying to sell an...
